Our award-winning Youth Service Clubs program inspires young people to become lifelong contributors to their communities by educating public high school students in New York City about social issues, engaging them in youth-led service projects, and providing leadership training.
We're currently looking for schools to participate during the 2010-2011 school year. Download the application now and submit it as soon as possible to be considered for the program.
Students, want to get your high school involved? Contact Michael Wise, Director of Youth Service, or download a factsheet about the Youth Service Clubs program to share with your school.
Youth volunteers take part in monthly service learning activities, followed by team-based volunteer projects. Our staff facilitates each project and guides the students as they explore a variety of social issues through hands-on service and education. Typical projects include community revitalization, education, HIV/AIDS, childcare, people with special needs, seniors, hunger, and homelessness.
