Jennifer: Children's Champion
It's easy to get lost in the big city, especially if you're a kid. Luckily, volunteers like Jennifer Maguire Coughlin give children a chance to speak up and be heard. For the past 8 years, Jennifer has been giving low-income children a chance to experience adventures they would never experience otherwise. From trips to the zoo to renaissance fairs, Jennifer has made it her goal to help young New Yorkers branch out and find themselves. Her efforts are always happily received, as the many children she's helped will agree. A big thank you to Jennifer for sticking up for the little guys!

Why I Volunteer:
"Small acts make a big difference. Watching kids go from quiet and shy...to confident and aware of their opportunities is so rewarding. New York Cares volunteer projects are eye-opening for the kids as well as the volunteers. Did I mention fun?!"
